EMPOWERING WOMEN WITH THE SKILLS TO CAPTURE THEIR STRENGTH & RESILIENCE THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY.
#shoot4purpose is a Cape Town-based street photography project founded in September 2021 to empower women who have experienced adversity or trauma. It combines photography skills development with personal growth to boost self-esteem and provide new opportunities. The initiative, led by photography professionals, aims to inspire transformation and healing through photography.
Target Group: Women who have experienced trauma.
Activities: Workshops,, exhibitions, collaborative projects.
Parnerships: Iyatsiba Lab UWC Centre for Humanities Research, Fujifilm SA, Orms CPT School of Photography
